KIBO Group, Inc. was founded in 1996 as a company that would specialize exclusively in the entitlement, development and construction of real estate in Southern California. Its mission is to be an innovative and entrepreneurial company that is involved in real estate projects of a high quality of construction and aesthetics and great pride of ownership for its end users and owners.

Since its inception, KIBO Group, Inc., has been involved in the development of multiple custom residential and commercial projects that have won accolades by its end users, owners, press and the public.  Currently, KIBO Group, Inc. and its affiliated entities, including Woodland Construction and D2 Homes, are involved in the entitlement, development and construction of custom homes, multi unit residential subdivisions, apartment buildings and commercial projects in Southern California. 


Alberto Valner is the President and founder of KIBO Group, Inc., a real estate company. Born and raised in Mexico City, Alberto moved to California to attend the University of California at Los Angeles and then went on to the Architecture School at the University of Southern California. While attending USC, he began working for Woodland Construction in Calabasas, California, a residential custom builder and developer of planned residential communities. 

Alberto founded KIBO Group, Inc. in 1996 as a vertically integrated real estate company that would specialize exclusively in the development and construction of residential and commercial real estate projects in Southern California. Subsequently, Alberto founded its affiliated entities Don Augusto, Inc., a concrete contractor that specializes in both complex foundation projects and high-end architectural concrete structures and KIBO Property Management, Inc., a property management company of shopping centers and apartment buildings.   

Through KIBO Group, Inc. and its affiliated entities, Alberto currently oversees the development and construction of multiple residential, multi-family and mixed-use projects, as well as the management of shopping centers and apartment buildings in Southern California.  Over the past 30 years, Alberto has been involved in the entitlement, development, construction, and management of over 2,700 single family homes, 1,000 apartment units, and over 1,500,000 square feet of office, commercial and industrial real estate.

Alberto, together with his wife Stacy founded the Phase One Foundation in 1999, which has become a leading non-for profit organization in Southern California dedicated to supporting cancer research. They have four children.


Scott Dinovitz is a partner of KIBO Group Inc. His expertise dates back to 1990 when he graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Planning and Development. Following graduation, Scott joined his family business, building custom and spec homes throughout Southern California. Today, Scott’s focus for KIBO includes property negotiations and acquisition, real estate investment, entitlement, and land development.

Paul Gillette supervises and oversees all of the construction projects that KIBO Group, Inc. and its affiliated entities execute. Prior to joining KIBO Group, Inc. Paul was a general contractor and ran his own concrete contracting business. Paul has been with KIBO Group, Inc. since its inception in 1996 and aside from overseeing KIBO Group, Inc.’s construction projects, he oversees and runs the field operations of Don Augusto, Inc., which is a concrete contractor affiliated with KIBO Group, Inc. Don Augusto Inc. specializes in the construction of both complex foundation systems for residential and commercial projects as well as high end exposed architectural concrete walls and surfaces.  

Jayme Dinovitz is a project superintendent with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. He has an in-depth knowledge of all sub trades with the ability to manage sub-contractors with solid communication skills and extensive knowledge of blue prints.

Steve Weiser is a project superintendent for KIBO Group Inc. and has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years. His responsibilities at KIBO include bidding and estimating on current and future projects along with overseeing the management of subcontractors, and working alongside owners. 

Sylvia Olson oversees all of the financial and accounting operations of KIBO Group Inc. and its affiliated entities.  She has been with the company since its inception, over twenty years ago. Sylvia came to KIBO Group, Inc. with many years of experience in the accounting of major residential building companies.  Prior to KIBO Group, Inc., she worked as the accounting manager for the residential division of Arnel Development, the Overland Company, and Barrett American which was an international residential building company.

Jesse Henricksen joined KIBO Group, Inc. in 2011.  He is responsible for overseeing all of the company’s administrative and contracting duties. In addition, he manages and coordinates a project from its inception through completion. Furthermore, through KIBO Property Management, Inc. an affiliate of KIBO Group, Inc., Jesse oversees all of the property management responsibilities’ of the company. KIBO Property Management, Inc. manages shopping centers, office and apartment properties in Southern California.  Prior to joining KIBO Group, Inc. Jesse worked as a broker and analyst at Marcus and Millichap, a real estate brokerage company.  


Renee Noggle directs the internal operations, tax planning, human resources and construction accounting for KIBO Group, Inc. and its associated entities.  Renee studied business and accounting at Southwest Missouri State University and she brings the extensive experience necessary to tackle the accounting requirements for any real estate oriented venture. She has been with KIBO Group Inc. and its associated entities for over 20 years.

Veritas Chantengco works as a project administrator, managing both administrative and financial projects for KIBO Group Inc. and its associated entities. Veritas works to ensure budgetary compliance and to coordinate project reviews of estimates, invoices and work orders for current and future projects. Veritas has spent over fifteen years building an extensive resume working in the real estate industry. She has been working for KIBO Group Inc. and its associated entities for over 10 years.

Nancy Johns is a LEED Accredited Professional with over twenty years of experience in the development industry.  She has been involved in many development disciplines including: planning, entitlement, asset management, construction management, project management, and LEED consulting both in the public and private sectors. Founder of associated entity Wildflower Development Services, Nancy provides comprehensive planning, permitting, and project management services for KIBO Group, Inc. and its affiliated entities throughout the Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties.

Niki Valner graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Her professional career began at StartEngine, an equity crowdfunding platform where she assisted in product and client services. She then moved on to The GREAT, an up and coming women’s collection, where she was the assistant to the two company founders. At KIBO Group, Inc., Niki is involved in facilitating all facets of the company's development, construction and property management. She specializes as a project coordinator where she oversees a project from its acquisition through the sale or stabilization of the asset.
